Global Resource Cycle (GRC) is a domestic nonprofit based in South Florida that evolved from two university students back in 2006 with a dream of changing the world driven by a passion to service those in need.
When the founding members recognized that one of the most necessary resources of human survival — food (as well as other resources) — is wasted daily in the local community, they began seeking solutions to an obvious problem. As consumers, both founders had a clear view that waste occurs unnecessarily due to negligence and poor resource management — and it can be prevented.
While GRC's mission began with implementing a solution to this need in Miami-Dade County by developing an award-winning business model to join forces with environmental agencies, local businesses, municipalities, and community programs, the mission evolved into educating businesses on how to source materials ethically and manage resources efficiently. Our team has successfully advised companies in diverse industries from consumer products to professional services on how to develop strategies that minimize their impact on the environment and contribute to global sustainable development. This has led to an improvement in their overall operations, supply chain, and triple bottom line.
Today, GRC helps conscious entrepreneurs and businesses to implement ISO Quality Management Systems, gain access to funding, partnerships and in-kind support to pursue their missions, and build sustainable business models that make a positive impact.
